Slow-pitch jigging is all about precision – using specialised rods and reels to work jigs through the water column with deliberate lifts and controlled falls. Each flutter mimics a wounded baitfish, often triggering brutal strikes from snapper, kingfish, hapuku, and other predators that can't resist the slow, tantalising action.

To complete your setup, pair your jigs with quality assist hooks and reliable terminal tackle, ensuring maximum strength and hookup efficiency. Whether you're refining your technique or just starting out, Monster Fishing has everything you need to master slow-pitch jigging in New Zealand waters.
