How to work it
The Karcass Jig is a slow pitch jig engineered to sink with an intense flutter that triggers strikes on the fall. Work it vertically over structure and deep ground by dropping on slack line, then lift with sharp rod movements to maintain that erratic flutter action. The compact profile responds to minimal input, so short, controlled jigging strokes are all you need-let the lure do the work as it sinks between lifts.
For cast-and-flutter applications, pitch the jig toward structure and work it back with rhythmic pauses, allowing the flutter to entice bites during the descent. You can also crank it through midwater for a faster retrieve when targeting pelagics. Match your weight to depth and current: lighter options (20-40 g) suit shallow reefs and inshore marks, while heavier jigs (120-200 g) cut through deeper water and strong conditions to reach bottom structure beyond 30 m.
