MajorCraft JigPara Slow Pitch jigs are a proven leaf-style metal jig designed for seductive slow-pitch presentations. Their oval body slices cleanly on the lift, then flutters wide and slow on the drop—an action offshore predators can’t resist. Rear-weighted for excellent casting distance and pre-rigged with quality assist hooks, they’re ready to fish vertically or from shore, making them a versatile option for kingfish, snapper and tropical reef species alike.

How to work it

Cast the JigPara Slow Pitch and allow it to flutter down on a controlled drop-the rear weight ensures a clean, predictable descent to the bottom and beyond 30 m.

Work the jig with short, sharp lifts of the rod tip, then pause to let it fall slack-line; this seductive flutter triggers strikes from demersal predators.

Vertical jigging works best in deeper water; from shallower marks or shore, cast and retrieve with the same lift-and-drop cadence. Match your weight to depth and current: lighter jigs (10-20 g) for shallow marks, heavier (60-100 g) for strong offshore conditions and deep structure.
