How to work it
This knife jig is built for deep-water vertical jigging in the 10-30 m zone.
Drop it tail-down and work it with sharp, mechanical jerks to create a darting side-to-side action, or slow the cadence for a more subtle flutter on the lift.
The fast-sinking profile cuts through the water quickly, so match your jigging rhythm to the depth and current; faster strokes in strong flow, slower pulses in slack conditions.
Pair it with a solid overhead or baitcaster outfit and braided mainline for direct feel and hook-up authority when targeting snapper, kingfish, hapuku, and bluenose on rough ground and deep reefs.
Which colour, and when
UV Green/GoldUV glow belly fires up in low light, overcast or deeper in the column where colour fades.
BlinkyBlue-purple flash and silver gives a hard contrast silhouette in clear, bright conditions.
Fiery TigerWarm flash and contrast reads well in low light or lightly stained water.
Pilchard BlueNatural pelagic baitfish match for clear water and bright daylight.
Pink/SilverPink holds its hue deep and draws strikes across a wide range of conditions.
Silver/RedSilver flash with a red-head contrast - a wounded baitfish trigger in clear, bright water.
