About this combo

This matched spin fishing combo pairs the Assassin Duel XT 8M Spinning Rod, Daiwa 20 Crest LT5000-CXH reel, and XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram braid into a complete, ready-to-fish lure casting and retrieving setup. Everything works together from the first cast.

Rod: Assassin - Duel XT 8M Spinning Rod

The Duel XT 8M is an 8-foot medium-power spinning rod engineered for lure work. Its responsive blank loads cleanly during the cast and transmits bite detection with precision on the retrieve. The medium action gives you the backbone to handle solid fish while keeping enough tip sensitivity to work soft plastics and hard bodies effectively.

Reel: Daiwa - 20 Crest LT5000-CXH

The Daiwa 20 Crest LT5000-CXH brings Daiwa's Light and Tough LT concept to an accessible price point. The 5000 size and XH extra-high gear ratio deliver fast line recovery on the retrieve — ideal for working lures quickly or picking up slack fast after a strike. A reliable drag system and durable construction make it a workhorse on the water.

Line: XBRAID - UPGRADE X8 PENTAGRAM

XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram is an 8-carrier braided line built around a pentagram cross-section weave for exceptional roundness and smoothness through the guides. The tight construction delivers low stretch, outstanding sensitivity, and strong abrasion resistance — key qualities when casting lures at distance and feeling every movement of your presentation on the retrieve.

Together, this trio is dialled in for anglers who cast and retrieve lures across a range of species and conditions. Grab the combo and hit the water ready to fish.
