About this combo

Built specifically for casting and working soft plastic lures, this combo pairs the Assassin Supernova 73M with the Shimano 24 Vanford C3000XG and XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram — a cohesive softbaiting setup engineered for sensitivity, speed, and precision.

Rod: Assassin - Supernova 73M Softbait Rod

The Assassin Supernova 73M is purpose-built for softbaiting, delivering the medium power and responsive tip action needed to animate soft plastics and detect subtle takes. At 7'3", it provides the casting length to cover ground while remaining light and balanced for all-day use. The Supernova's sensitivity lets you feel every twitch and pause transmitted through the lure.

Reel: Shimano - 24 VANFORD C3000XG

The 24 Vanford C3000XG is a premium lightweight spinning reel built on Shimano's Magnesium CI4+ frame, keeping weight minimal without sacrificing rigidity. The XG extra-high gear ratio delivers fast line recovery for working lures quickly and staying tight on active fish. Shimano's Micromodule Gear II and Silent Drive technology ensure ultra-smooth retrieve for precise lure control.

Line: XBRAID - UPGRADE X8 PENTAGRAM

The XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram is an 8-carrier braided line constructed using a pentagram weave for exceptional roundness, smoothness, and casting performance. Its low diameter and minimal stretch maximise sensitivity, ensuring every lure movement and bite is transmitted directly to the angler. The Upgrade X8 is an ideal match for softbaiting, where feel and lure control are everything.

Together, these three components form a refined, technique-specific softbaiting combo suited to serious lure anglers. Add to cart and fish with confidence.
