The Ocean Angler Knife Jig is built for getting down fast and staying visible in deeper water. Its long, slender body sinks quickly and flutters attractively on the drop, triggering reaction bites from predatory fish. Outfitted with a hand-tied twin assist rig using Owner hooks and UV flash, it’s ready to fish straight out of the pack. Ideal for snapper, kingfish, and kahawai when conditions call for speed and precision.

How to work it

Cast the Knife Jig uptide or across current and let it sink on a controlled drop-the fast-sinking profile and fluttering action work the mid-water column (2-10 m) without constant retrieval.

Work the lure with sharp, short lifts of the rod tip to trigger reaction bites from snapper, kingfish, and kahawai; pause between lifts to let the jig flutter back down. The slim profile cuts through current efficiently, so it excels in moving water or when targeting deeper marks.

Use 60 g in lighter conditions or shallower water; step up to 80 g when you need faster drop-through or stronger current control.
