About this lure

The Sea Ride Mini takes all the proven action of the original Sea Ride jig and packs it into a downsized lure perfect for light-saltwater fishing. Designed for versatility, this compact jig is deadly on snapper, kahawai, trevally, and other inshore species when the baitfish are small.

Key Features

  • Ready to fish – rigged with both treble and assist hooks (with tinsel).
  • Multi-action design
    • Drop & fall: unique micro-vibration fall that triggers bites on the pause.
    • Steady retrieve: swims with a spoon-like wobble that draws strikes.
    • Twitch & dart: flash and dart action with just a flick of the rod.
  • Slow horizontal fall – creates an irresistible “feeding window” for predators.
  • Long-casting performance – compact body cuts through the wind to reach fish that softbaits and minnows can’t.
  • Proven in tough conditions – maintains lifelike action even in strong currents or dirty water.

Special Colours

  • Glow Dot Silver – versatile day/night option. Strong flash in daylight with added glow to track the lure in murky water. Particularly effective on snapper.
  • All Glow – ideal for deep water or low-light conditions. Works brilliantly when fished slow-jig style, with adjustable glow response depending on light exposure.

Big Kev's Tips

How to work it

Cast the Sea Ride Mini to mid-water (2-10 m) and work it with a drop-and-fall rhythm, pausing to let the micro-vibration action trigger strikes.

Vary your retrieve: steady wobble mimics small baitfish, while twitches and darts create flash that draws aggressive takes from snapper, kahawai, and trevally in inshore zones.

The lure's compact body casts well into wind and maintains action in strong currents or turbid water. Choose your weight (3-15 g) to match depth and current: lighter weights for shallow, calm conditions; heavier for deeper water or faster flow. Pair with light spinning or baitcasting tackle suited to micro-jig work.
