About this lure
The Sea Ride is the jig that started it all for BlueBlue – an innovative casting metal that’s been catching fish for over a decade. Now updated with new colours, engraved weights, and the same proven action, it remains a must-have for inshore and offshore anglers.
Available weights: 20g, 30g, 40g, 60g
Ready to fish – rigged with a tinsel assist hook.
Two rigging styles, two actions:
- Forward attachment – cast, twitch, and let it fall for wide sliding action and slow flutter that triggers bites.
- Reverse attachment – steady retrieve produces a spoon-like swim; drop with slack for a backslide fall that tempts even fussy fish.
- Versatile “dolphin action” – lifelike swimming movement with just a flick of the rod and reel, perfect for snapper, kahawai, kingfish, and trevally.
- Long casting design – compact, aerodynamic body punches through the wind to reach fish others can’t.
- Weight engraved – no more guessing in your tackle box; each jig is laser-marked for quick selection.
Why It Works
Whether you fish it spinning slow style to make the most of its unique fall, or simply wind it straight for spoon-like action, the Sea Ride offers a versatility few jigs can match. Its unpredictable slide, lifelike swim, and fluttering fall create multiple strike triggers that consistently fool predators.

Big Kev's Tips
How to work it
The Sea Ride is a versatile metal jig fished in the sub-surface zone (0-2 m).
Cast and work it with short twitches followed by controlled drops to trigger the signature sliding and flutter action, or retrieve steadily for a spoon-like swim.
Rig it forward-attached for wide lateral movement and slow falls, or reverse-attached for a backslide drop that tempts cautious fish.
The compact, aerodynamic body casts well into wind and works equally effectively on spinning gear with a slow, methodical retrieve or sharp rod flicks.
Target inshore species like snapper, kahawai, kingfish, and trevally in clear, shallow water where the jig's lifelike dolphin action is most visible.
