How to work it

The LQ Darter is a sinking squid jig designed to be worked vertically or with sharp, darting movements. Cast and allow it to sink - at 3.3 seconds per metre, the 18 g weight reaches working depth quickly.

Work the jig with short, sharp lifts of the rod tip to create the characteristic left-right sliding dart action, then let it flutter back down on slack line. This erratic motion, combined with the 3D lens's light diffusion, triggers squid strikes across a wide strike zone.

Retrieve steadily or use a stop-and-drop rhythm to cover the water column and locate feeding squid.
