Big Kev's Tips

How to work it

The EGI-OH F is a sinking egi that works best on a steady lift-and-drop retrieve.

Cast out and allow it to sink on controlled tension, then work it upward with sharp rod taps to trigger the side-to-side darting action that mimics natural squid prey.

The transparent glow body remains visible in daylight and low-light conditions, making it effective across dawn, dusk, and daytime sessions.

Choose your size based on depth and conditions: the 2.0 and 2.5 sink at 5.5 sec/m for shallow inshore work, while the 3.0 (3.5 sec/m) and 3.5 (3.0 sec/m) suit deeper offshore marks.

Pair with a light to medium spin or baitcaster and 0.8-1.5 mm braid for direct feel of the egi's action and squid takes.
