Shimano - 23 SEDONA 1000

The Shimano 23 Sedona 1000 is an ultra-lightweight entry-level spinning reel that brings flagship-level refinement to your finesse setups. Featuring Shimano's Silent Drive technology and a Slim Fit body, this reel dramatically reduces internal clearances and wobbles, resulting in an exceptionally smooth and quiet rotation. In the New Zealand context, this 1000-sized reel is absolutely perfect for light game applications, whether you're targeting Trout in backcountry streams, flicking micro soft plastics in estuaries, or dropping Sabikis for Jack mackerel/Aji to use as live baits.

• Silent Drive Technology – Eliminates internal gaps and wobbles for a supremely quiet, buttery-smooth retrieval.
• G-Free Body Design – Shifts the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod, reducing fatigue during long sessions.
• AR-C Spool – Ensures smooth line release, increasing your casting distance while minimizing troublesome wind knots.
• Slim Fit Body – Minimises unnecessary weight to improve handling and overall balance on ultra-light rods.
• 3kg Maximum Drag – Provides smooth, reliable stopping power when battling feisty light-tackle species.
• Ideal for Light Game – Perfectly sized for Trout, estuary micro-jigging, or collecting Jack mackerel/Aji.
