About this rod
The TC83-150G is Zenaq’s perfectly balanced crossover rod for GT popping and tuna stickbaiting, targeting powerful pelagics in the 20–80kg range. By blending the stiffness needed to work large cupped poppers with the smoother action preferred for long-distance stickbaiting, it hits the ideal middle ground for anglers chasing both species on the same trip.
Built from TORAYCA® T1100G carbon with Nanoalloy® resin, the blank offers a crisp, responsive tip for lure control and a torque-rich butt section to keep heavy fish away from reef structure. Outfitted with Ocean Guides for durability and smooth casting, and Zenaq’s Hexagon Grip for comfort and precision, it’s designed for serious offshore work without the fatigue of oversized GT rods.
Best suited for lures around 150g, but capable across the full 90–180g range, the TC83-150G delivers both reach and stopping power – making it a reliable choice for large trevally, yellowfin, and bluefin tuna.
