The Jackson Plunge is a sinking metal jig designed for vertical and cast-and-retrieve work in deep water (30m+).
Control the action by adjusting line tension: keep tension tight for a rapid vertical drop that mimics a fleeing baitfish, or drop on slack line for a slow, horizontal flutter that triggers strikes from predatory fish.
The asymmetrical body creates a natural fluttering motion on the fall-key to its effectiveness.
Cast the Plunge from shore or rocks to reach feeding workups, using its aerodynamic profile to punch distance into wind.
From a boat, work it vertically with sharp jerks and pauses, allowing the jig to slide and wobble during the retrieve.
