Big Kev's Tips
How to work it
The EbiPop 120EXT is a floating blooping popper built to work the surface for GTs.
Cast it out, point the rod tip low, and use sharp downward sweeps to make the cupped face dig and throw water - each stroke should produce a deep, loud bloop and heavy commotion.
Pause between bloops to let the tail-down posture settle the lure, then repeat.
Vary the cadence from steady rhythmic blooping to erratic bursts to trigger reaction strikes.
The 120g body loads a heavy popping rod well and casts distance across open water, and the high-density foam holds up in rough seas as well as calm.
Pair with a heavy topwater popping outfit, a strong braid mainline and a shock leader capable of handling GTs, which this popper is designed to land.
Keep constant tension through the retrieve so you're ready for violent surface takes.
