About this reel
The Daiwa 20 Crest LT5000-CXH is a highly versatile, lightweight spinning reel designed under the LT (Light and Tough) concept. Perfect for New Zealand’s demanding saltwater environment, this reel delivers the fast retrieval speed necessary for light shore jigging and targeting fast-moving pelagics like Kahawai or Kingfish. Its robust drag system and smooth construction make it equally effective when straylining for Snapper off the rocks or boat.
- LT Concept – Reduces overall body weight while maintaining maximum structural integrity and durability for harsh saltwater use.
- High-Speed Gear Ratio – A fast 6.2:1 ratio recovers 105cm of line per crank, ideal for rapidly working lures or turning fish away from reefy terrain.
- ATD Drag System – Provides a smooth and consistent 12kg of stopping power, ensuring fewer pulled hooks when battling strong Snapper or Kingfish.
- LC-ABS Spool – Enhances casting distance and line management, allowing you to cover more water when fishing from the surf or shore.
- Aluminium Handle – Features a large T-shape knob for a secure and comfortable grip during long fights or extended lure casting sessions.
