About this reel

The Daiwa 22 Caldia SW 10000-H is an offshore powerhouse engineered for the most demanding New Zealand saltwater environments. Built with a rigid Aluminium Monocoque body and an oversized Tough Digigear, this reel delivers the winching power needed to stop rampaging kingfish and tackle hard-fighting pelagics like tuna. The high-speed 5.7:1 gear ratio retrieves 121cm of line per turn, making it exceptional for working large stickbaits and poppers across the surface or deep dropping jigs to the reef.

Aluminium Monocoque Body – Enhances rigidity and weather sealing while housing a larger gear for immense winching power.
Tough Digigear – Oversized gearing that ensures silky smooth retrieves under extreme loads and heavy drag pressures.
High-Speed Retrieve – Pulls in 121cm of line per turn, perfect for sweeping stickbaits and executing fast topwater actions.
ATD Drag System – Provides up to 15kg of smooth, unrelenting drag pressure to tire out big kingfish and pelagics.
Magsealed Protection – Keeps saltwater and debris out of the main shaft to maintain long-term offshore reliability.
EVA Power Knob – The 75mm handle with a large round EVA knob provides a secure, comfortable grip during brutal fights.
