About this reel

The Daiwa 23 Legalis LT6000D-H brings an impressive combination of light weight and toughness, making it a formidable spinning reel for the rugged New Zealand coastline. Constructed with Daiwa's proprietary Zaion V material in both the body and Airdrive rotor, it dramatically reduces starting inertia for an ultra-smooth retrieve. Whether you are shore jigging for hard-fighting Kingfish or casting big baits off the rocks for trophy Snapper, this 6000-size reel offers the rigidity and stopping power needed to dominate the fight.

Zaion V Construction – A carbon hybrid material that ensures a feather-light feel while maintaining the structural rigidity required for heavy saltwater use.
Airdrive Design – Reduces the weight of the rotor and bail assembly, significantly decreasing winding resistance for enhanced lure control.
Tough Digigear – An enhanced gear system that provides high-retrieving power, flawless smoothness, and maximum torque under heavy loads.
ATD Type-L Drag System – Delivers a progressive 12kg drag release that prevents jerks, ensuring constant control over surging pelagics.
Longcast ABS Spool – Features a specialised aluminium spool rim that reduces friction, allowing for exceptional casting distances from the shore.
Twist Buster III – Effectively manages braided lines by reducing compression and line twist during the retrieve.
Screw-In Handle & EVA Knob – Transmits power directly to the drive gear, while the large power light EVA knob offers a secure grip during intense battles.
