These terms and conditions (Terms) govern entry into the Spring Shimano Stella Promotion (Promotion) run by Monster Merchants Online Limited, trading as Monster Fishing (Promoter, we, us, our). By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final and binding.
1. The Promotion
The Promotion is run by Monster Merchants Online Limited, trading as Monster Fishing, a company incorporated in New Zealand (NZBN: 9429052197260). Website: monsterfishing.co.nz.
2. Eligibility
The Promotion is open to individuals who are legal residents of New Zealand and are 18 years of age or older at the time of the qualifying purchase.
Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Promoter, and any agencies directly associated with the Promotion, are not eligible to enter.
Entrants must be purchasing as a consumer for personal use, not for resale or on behalf of a business.
The Promoter may verify eligibility at any time and may disqualify any entry it reasonably believes does not meet these conditions.
3. Promotional Period
The Promotion runs from 12:00am NZDT on Monday 12 October 2026 to 11:59pm NZDT on Saturday 31 October 2026 (Promotional Period). Orders placed outside the Promotional Period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
Any customer who places a completed, paid order with Monster Fishing during the Promotional Period, either online at monsterfishing.co.nz or in store, will receive entries into the prize draw based on the amount spent on that order. Online orders are entered automatically. In-store purchases only earn entries if the customer provides their email address for the receipt at checkout; in-store purchases without an email address on the receipt do not earn entries and cannot be added afterwards.
Entrants receive one (1) entry for every full $10 (NZD, including GST) spent per qualifying order. Amounts are rounded down to the nearest whole $10. For example, an order of $17 earns one (1) entry, an order of $21 earns two (2) entries, and an order under $10 earns no entries.
The amount spent is the order total after any discounts, coupons or gift card credits are applied, and excludes shipping and delivery charges.
Multiple qualifying orders placed during the Promotional Period each earn entries separately, calculated on each order's own total. There is no limit to the number of entries an entrant may earn.
Orders that are cancelled, refunded, or returned in full before the draw date will be removed from the draw. Where an order is partly refunded or returned before the draw date, the entrant's entries for that order will be recalculated based on the amount retained.
The purchase of gift cards does not count towards entries.
By entering, entrants agree to these Terms and to Monster Fishing's standard sales and privacy terms.
5. The Prize
One (1) prize is available: one (1) Shimano Stella SW 20000PG spinning reel (Prize).
The Prize has a recommended retail value of NZD $2,199.99 (including GST) at the time these Terms were published.
The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize.
The Promoter will deliver the Prize to the winner free of charge to an address within New Zealand.
If the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason outside the Promoter's control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
One winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period. Each entry has an equal chance of being drawn. The draw will take place within 5 business days of the Promotional Period closing.
The winner will be notified by email within 5 business days of the draw, using the contact details held on their Monster Fishing account or order.
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 10 days of the first notification attempt, they forfeit the Prize and the Promoter may select another winner by the same random process.
The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
With the winner's consent, their first name and city/region may be published on the Monster Fishing website and social media channels.
7. General Conditions
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or engages in fraudulent conduct, including splitting or manipulating orders to gain additional entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion or these Terms if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulator.
The Promoter is not responsible for any technical failure, lost, late, or misdirected entries, or any loss or damage arising from participation in the Promotion, except for any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
This Promotion is conducted as a trade promotion in connection with the sale of goods, with entry via purchase at the normal retail price and no additional charge for entry.
8. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this Promotion (name, contact details, order information) will be used by the Promoter to administer the Promotion, including contacting and announcing the winner, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and Monster Fishing's Privacy Policy. It will not be used for other marketing purposes unless the entrant has separately opted in.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
