About this lure

The largest model in the series, built for distance, power, and topwater impact.

At 175mm and 74g (87g with hooks), the Feed Popper 175 is designed for reaching distant schools and handling serious predators like tuna and kingfish. Its rear-weighted body delivers outstanding casting performance, while the upright floating posture and wide cup face generate strong, clean pops with light rod work. The built-in R-Unit adds subtle sway when paused—ideal for tempting fish that are tracking but hesitant to strike.

Big Kev's Tips

How to work it

Cast the Contact Feed Popper 175 to distant schools and work it with sharp, rhythmic rod twitches to produce crisp pops on the surface.

The rear-weighted body (74g) delivers excellent casting distance, making it ideal for reaching feeding kingfish and tuna in open water.

Keep the rod tip low and vary your cadence-short sharp pops followed by brief pauses allow the built-in R-Unit to add subtle sway, triggering strikes from fish tracking but hesitant to commit.

This floating popper excels around bait schools and works equally well offshore or near structure; light rod work generates maximum topwater disturbance without exhausting the angler.
