How to work it

The Weapon is a keel-weighted skirted lure fished by trolling - towed behind a moving boat at trolling speed. The keel-weighted insert keeps it running straight and holds its angle, so it stays honest even when the sea gets rough.

Its winged head throws a strong bubble trail and aggressive smoke, working the surface with a powerful surface-to-subsurface action to raise switched-on pelagics.

Deploy it in the trolling spread where a stable, hard-tracking lure earns its place - the long or short corner, or run it further back in the shotgun position. Because it holds its line well, it also handles the wash on the outrigger positions in a lumpy sea.

Rig it on 200-400lb leader with an 8/0-9/0 hook to match its big-game profile. The Bonze skirt system takes BS7 replacement skirts, so re-rigging worn or damaged skirts is straightforward.
