About this lure

Maximum flight distance over 100m!!

Jig flight distance x plug appeal!!

High-strength thick body and through-wire structure make it suitable for both rock shore and offshore fishing. The horizontal rolling fall action imitates a weakened baitfish. The face design that grips the water and the weight balance with an ultra-low center of gravity make it suitable for all techniques, from fast to slow winding, one-pitch jerks, skipping, etc.

How to work it

The Monster Shot (S) is a sinking stickbait built for long casts - the ultra-low centre of gravity and jig-like weight balance help it reach distant workups and structure, with flight distances over 100m. On the drop it produces a horizontal rolling fall that imitates a weakened baitfish, so let it sink after the cast and watch for hits on the fall.

Vary your retrieve to match the fish. Fast winding and skipping keep it near the surface for aggressive kingfish, kahawai and tuna, while one-pitch jerks and slower winds work the lure through the upper water column when fish are less committed. The through-wire structure and high-strength body suit both rock shore and offshore use.

Pair it with a rod and reel matched to the size you're casting - the heavier lengths punch into wind and reach deeper-holding fish, while lighter sizes suit closer, calmer work.
