How to work it

The Slidog 85 is a compact 85mm sinking stickbait worked on the surface and down through the water column. Cast it out on light spinning gear, then choose your retrieve: a straight wind keeps it up top, while a stop-go cadence or letting it sink lets the lure flutter and shimmy on the drop - that side-to-side fall is what triggers the strike.

At 15g it casts well on light tackle and spinning outfits, making it easy to cover flats and reach fish sitting around deeper structure. Vary the pauses and sweeps to work different depths; let it sink over structure or keep it moving through the shallows.
