About this lure

The Kicker Bug is a softbait from another dimension – a uniquely designed creature lure built to stand out when traditional softplastics fail. Created by Toshifumi Kikumoto, every part of the Kicker Bug moves differently, producing layered action that drives big predatory fish wild. From subtle micro-vibrations to dramatic water displacement, it delivers a profile and movement that nothing else can match.

How to work it

Rig the Kicker Bug on a jighead sized to your depth and current, or weedless on a worm hook when working structure.

Its multi-action design - flapping claws, ball-tipped legs and ribbed body - works best on a slow, considered retrieve that lets each part move independently.

Focus on the fall: the Flappin' Scissors push water and collapse on the drop, triggering reaction bites from fish following the lure down.

Lift-and-drop through the water column, pausing to let the micro-vibrations from the ball-shaped legs mimic struggling prey. The ribbed belly traps air bubbles for a natural look and soft feel on the bite.

Pair with a soft-tipped softbait rod and braid for bite detection.

The infused salt, shrimp and garlic scent encourages fish to hold on.
A good creature-bait option for snapper, kahawai and trevally when standard softplastics aren't getting a response.
