About this product
The Scotty 2028 Big Game Gimbal Mount (9") is the ultimate non-permanent mounting solution for Kiwi boat owners who demand strength without drilling holes. Built from heavy-duty polished 304 stainless steel, this adapter instantly converts your boat’s existing factory flush-mount rod holders into a fully adjustable Scotty post mount system. It is particularly valuable for New Zealand anglers wanting to optimize their spread for Kingfish live-baiting or Snapper straylining, allowing for precise rod angles that fixed gunnel holders simply cannot achieve.
- 304 Stainless Steel Construction – Provides maximum corrosion resistance and strength for harsh saltwater environments.
- No-Drill Installation – Slides directly into standard flush-mount rod holders for an instant, removable setup.
- Integrated 241L Locking Mount – Features a push-button lock to secure your rod holder post, preventing loss during strikes.
- Adjustable Positioning – Works with any Scotty post-mount rod holder to allow full 360-degree rotation and vertical adjustment.
- Heavy-Duty Stability – The rigid steel tube design eliminates flex, making it suitable for heavier gear and trolling applications.
