How to work it
The Tyrant 120P is a surface popper best worked with sharp, rhythmic pop-and-pause retrieves.
Cast it out, then work the rod tip downward with quick jerks to trigger the large cupped face - each pop creates a sharp crack and explosive splash designed to pull fish up from below. Pause between pops to let the disturbance settle and allow fish time to respond.
Its tail-weighted, low-centre-of-gravity design casts long distances effortlessly, making it ideal for covering water and reaching fish holding deeper. The asymmetrical body displaces plenty of water on each pop, amplifying the call.
Fish this lure on standard topwater tackle - a medium-fast rod with 15-20 lb braid gives you the sensitivity to feel each pop and the backbone to set the heavy-duty Vanfook trebles on aggressive strikes.
