The elfin Large Cicada is a surface floater built for spring insect hatches when trout are feeding on cicadas near the water.
Cast it into still lakes, shaded margins, and under overhangs in shallow water, then work it with gentle twitches to create subtle, lifelike struggling movement. Keep retrieves slow and deliberate-short rod taps interspersed with pauses-to mimic a disabled insect.
This approach works best on calm days when fish are visibly feeding on the surface; the light 4.3g weight makes it ideal for delicate presentations in shallow margins and around structure where wary trout hunt.
