About this reel

The Shimano 25 Ultegra 4000 redefines everyday performance, blending high-end technologies like Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive into an accessible, rugged platform. Built under the CoreSolid philosophy, this reel delivers smooth, powerful winding and lasting durability against harsh saltwater conditions. It is the perfect 4000-size workhorse for New Zealand anglers casting softbaits to Snapper in 5โ€“20m depths, flicking small metal lures at schooling Kahawai, or dropping light slow jigs over shallow reefs.

  • CoreSolid Design โ€“ Provides exceptionally smooth and powerful winding even under heavy loads.
  • Infinity Cross Technology โ€“ Extends gear durability by distributing load more evenly across the drive gear teeth.
  • Infinity Drive โ€“ Reduces friction within the main shaft, yielding a much lighter rotation and superior cranking torque.
  • Anti-Twist Fin โ€“ Ensures superb line management and significantly reduces wind knots when casting braided line.
  • 11kg Max Drag โ€“ Offers massive stopping power to pull hard-fighting Snapper away from the kelp.
  • Deep Spool Capacity โ€“ Generous line capacity allows you to spool up plenty of PE2 braid for unexpected deeper drops.
