About this rod
The Ripple Fisher Aquila EX 83-6 is a premium 3-piece travel rod engineered for targeting New Zealand's aggressive Kingfish and pelagics. Designed with an extremely flexible yet powerful blank, it allows anglers to easily control mid-sized stickbaits and topwater lures without compromising on stopping power. Whether you are casting from a local reef or venturing on a remote expedition, this pack-rod bends smoothly to absorb sudden strikes and keep you in total control.
- 3-piece Construction – Breaks down to a highly portable 905mm length, making it the ultimate travel companion for domestic and global expeditions.
- Flexible Tip Section – Ensures effortless sweeps and precise action when working stickbaits and diving pencils across the surface.
- Powerful Butt Section – Delivers intense stopping power to halt the aggressive runs of Kingfish in shallow reef environments.
- Fuji Reel Seat – Fitted with a secure Fuji DPS20 reel seat to firmly lock in your heavy-duty spinning reels.
- Grip-Joint & Spigot Ferrule – Provides a seamless, uninterrupted bending curve that rivals traditional 1-piece or 2-piece setups.
