About this lure
A heavy sinking minnow built for rock and offshore use, ideal for targeting big pelagics like kingfish and tuna along New Zealand’s coastlines.
It casts confidently into strong winds thanks to the Vortex Generator, while the wide-lipped design engages quickly to deliver a strong wobble-roll with plenty of flash. It stays stable on fast retrieves or aggressive jerks, holding depth well through the water column. The 1.4 mm through-wire construction handles hard fights, and the unrigged body lets you customise with your preferred hook setup.

Cast the Pintail Tune 170SVG into wind and current with confidence - its 53 g weight and Vortex Generator deliver distance and stability.
Retrieve steadily or work it with aggressive jerks; the wide lip engages immediately to produce a strong wobble-roll with plenty of flash.
This sinking minnow holds depth through the water column on fast retrieves without losing control, making it ideal for working deep edges and current lines where big pelagics hunt.
Pair it with 15-20 lb braid and a 20-30 lb fluorocarbon leader for direct contact and bite detection. Rig with a Treble 2/0 or Single 4/0 hook (not included) to suit your target and technique.
