The slim-type curly lure is popular among red snapper lures these days, and is useful in situations where you want a little more appeal than a slim straight lure, but the traditional curly lure seems too strong for the lure to bite. Although it stirs up the water, its slim shape creates a "natural and highly appealing" effect with fine vibrations. It is effective when red snapper is nervous after spawning, or when it is less active and not biting.
