Vexed - Bottom Worm Circle
About this lure
A clever twist on an old favourite.
The Vexed Bottom Worm Circle takes the proven Bottom Meat concept and shrinks it down for lighter gear and inshore fishing. Designed to be fished either on its own, or as a “fish-catching sinker” on the bottom of a paternoster rig, it gives you two baits working hard on the seafloor. In testing, more fish were hooked on the Bottom Worm Circle fished as the sinker than the traditional bottom dropper.
Each rig features a super-sharp BKK circle hook paired with a durable, stretchy scented Vexed Bottom Worm that presents small natural baits like pipi, mussel, prawn, squid, or worm strips perfectly.
Available from 5g to 130g, these versatile rigs suit everything from estuary and harbour fishing through to light inshore reef work. Deadly on snapper, kahawai, trevally, gurnard and other bread-and-butter species, the Bottom Worm Circle is a must-have when you’re chasing a feed close to home.

How to work it
Cast the Bottom Worm Circle to the seafloor and work it with gentle lifts and pauses, letting the fast-sinking design settle quickly to 30m+ depths.
Fish it solo on light gear, or thread it as a "fish-catching sinker" on the bottom of a paternoster rig - testing shows more hookups occur when it's the working sinker rather than a static dropper.
The scented worm and circle hook excel when tipped with small natural baits: pipi, mussel, prawn, squid, or worm strips. Ideal for estuary, harbour, and light inshore reef work targeting snapper, kahawai, trevally, and gurnard.
