About this lure

Shore Slow was born by combining slow jigging, which is effective for a variety of fish species, with the shore style. By pitching and attacking the range accurately, it becomes possible to target a wide range of fish. It is a new style of shore jigging that allows you to thoroughly attack bite ranges that pass by in an instant with normal shore jigging. This is the strength and fun of Shore Slow. Many fish can be targeted, including migratory fish, flatfish, and rockfish. By using the Slim and Wide lures with different weight balances, you can expand the range of your attack.

How to work it

The Slow Blatt Cast Slim is a sinking slow-pitch style jig designed to work the bottom in 30m or deeper, though its slim profile also suits shore-based casting where you count it down to the target range. Let it sink on a controlled line, then work it back with a slow pitch-and-drop cadence, pausing to let the jig flutter on the fall where most bites come.

This jig covers a wide range of species - snapper, kingfish, kahawai, gurnard and trevally - so vary your retrieve speed and pause length until you find what the fish want on the day.

Match the weight to depth and current: lighter heads for shallower zones or calmer water, heavier ones to hold the bottom in current or reach distance from shore.

Pair with a slow-pitch or light jigging rod and a matched reel with braid for feel and hook-setting at depth.
