How to work it

The Alexandra 50HW is a flatside sinking minnow made for twitching in mountain streams, creeks and river edges.

Cast up or across the current, let the 4.5g body settle into its level sinking posture, then work it back with short, sharp rod-tip twitches. The flat-sided profile throws tight, irregular flashes off minimal movement, so keep inputs subtle and let the lure dart and flutter between twitches.

The stable fall lets it track true in fast water, so aim casts at tight pin-spots - seams, pockets and undercut edges - and pause it in the strike zone. Its controlled sink helps hold depth through current without dragging up.

Pair it with a light trout spinning or ultralight setup and fine leader for delicate presentations. This suits wary trout from spring through autumn, and the single #8 hook plus Anti Hook Out System helps secure hookups during the fight.
