How to fish the Hayabusa - Jigging Sabiki

Big Kev's Tips

How to work it

Hey, why not catch bait and dinner at the same time? Tie the Jigging Sabiki straight to a swivel, drop it to your chosen depth, and work it back with a steady wind or a jerking lift-and-drop. The integrated metal jig at the base carries the rig down while the sabiki flies target baitfish above it, letting you cover multiple water columns in a single drop.

Fish it vertically over structure, or cast and wind to search wider ground from shore or boat. A jerking action imparts flash and movement that draws predators onto the jig while smaller fish hit the sabiki. Match the weight to depth and current so the rig sinks true and stays in the strike zone.

This versatile setup suits snapper, kahawai, jack mackerel, koheru and other pelagics, and works in saltwater from both shore and boat. Fish it on its own or combine it with other lures and jig heads for a more varied presentation.
