How to work it

The Roosta Popper 160 is a surface specialist designed to draw kingfish up from depth with aggressive noise and bubble disturbance.

Cast it out and work it with short, sharp rod sweeps followed by brief pauses - the cupped head design produces a loud bloop and extended bubble trail that triggers strikes without demanding excessive effort. Keep the rod tip low and vary your cadence: sometimes pop hard and fast, other times space out your sweeps to let the bubble trail settle.

The 75g weight and balanced profile make it easy to cast long distances, allowing you to cover water and reach feeding fish at distance.
