How to work it

The Ultimate Squid excels on a drop rig or paired with a jig head, working the water column with subtle lifts and pauses to trigger the realistic wing roll and tentacle action.

Cast or drop near structure, reefs, or over open ground where snapper, kingfish, kahawai, and trevally hunt. Work it with gentle rod twitches to animate the fluttering candles and contracting tentacles-the squid's natural movement often draws strikes on the drop itself.

Pair with standard light to medium spin or baitcasting tackle; the lure's adaptability means you can fish it static on the bottom or work it through mid-water with steady retrieves and pauses.
