About this lure

The D Shackle may only be a small lure but with its large cup face and reverse tapper you would think you are watching a much larger lure. This lure is perfect to run behind your dredge in a spread of small lures or on the rigger in a spread of larger lures. A very easy to use lure that is in my starting line up everyday!

How to work it

The D Shackle is a floating surface lure trolled in your spread.

Despite its compact size, the large cup face and reverse taper push water and throw a bubble trail that mimics a much larger lure.

Deploy it at trolling speed and let the head work the surface where the cup face creates the smoke and splash that draws fish up.

Run it behind your dredge in a spread of small lures, or set it on the rigger among larger lures. It fits either role, making it a flexible pick for building out a spread.

Rig it with an 8/0-9/0 hook and 200lb-400lb leader to match the skirt and running characteristics. The 270mm / 10.5" skirted length takes the BS7 Bonze replacement skirt when you need to refresh the colour.
