The Shimano Stella SW 8000XG is an extra high gear weapon built for serious offshore casting and jigging. With a 6.2 gear ratio, 119cm per crank and a compact, rigid rotor, it’s made for burning stickbaits and metals at kingfish and tuna, while still feeling smooth and controlled for vertical work on PE3–4. Highly Rigid Arm Cam

To increase rigidity, the arm cam is built from metal—just like the rotor. This allows it to transmit the Stella SW’s power without flexing, whether you’re winding under heavy load or the drag is screaming. The metal plating process keeps the surface smooth for longer and helps prevent any damage to your line.

X Rigid Rotor

By using an aluminium alloy and running repeated 3D analyses to fine-tune thickness and structural placement, the rotor achieves significantly increased rigidity, durability, and rotational balance. This added stiffness also enhances the performance of the drag system and other critical components.

Stella SW Dedicated Line Roller

A DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating on the roller surface reduces friction and helps prevent line wear. It also uses a contact-style waterproof seal that stops seawater from entering the roller assembly. This protects the internal bearings from harsh saltwater conditions.

AR-C Spool

The AR-C spool uses a specially shaped ring that smooths line flow, reducing tangles and boosting casting distance. The 25 Stella SW features an improved ring collar that helps stop the line from catching and prevents strangulation. Because SW fishing puts heavy stress on this area, the ring is treated with a highly abrasion-resistant coating to improve durability, protect your line, and maintain a smooth surface.
