The Scotty 1170 Power Grip Plus with Cannonball Snap and Heavy 18\" Monofilament Leader is the standard release included with all Scotty Downriggers. Fishing line is gripped between the soft pads and variable release tension is attained by moving the line in or out of the jaws. The tension adjuster doubles the holding power if needed. Streamlined design won't snag on weeds or foul lines.
