Without a rear hook, it seems like it won't hook well, but with treble hooks, it often gets snagged. This very short single hook solves such problems. The hook is the Pike AS-03, which is popular for its quick hooking and holding power, just like the Twin Pike DJ-88, and fully supports light jigging. The eye has more flexibility than a fixed eye single hook, preventing the lure from escaping and supporting hooking. The Short Pike DJ-77 can be used for a variety of purposes, including shore casting, jigging on the rear or front, as well as for pier jigging and setting on luring pencil baits.
