About this reel
The Daiwa 20 Crest LT6000-H is a formidable spinning reel designed to handle medium to large predators across New Zealand’s rugged coastline and inshore waters. Built around Daiwa's LT (Light and Tough) concept and Tough Digigear system, this reel delivers exceptional durability and winding power without unnecessary weight. Whether you're shore jigging for kingfish, boat fishing for trophy snapper, or punching long casts from the beach, the ATD drag system ensures smooth, consistent stopping power when a big fish makes a blistering run.
- LT (Light and Tough) Concept – Reduces overall reel weight to just 355g while maintaining maximum structural integrity for heavy-duty saltwater applications.
- ATD Drag System – Provides 12kg of smooth, fade-free stopping power to control hard-fighting pelagics and big snapper.
- Tough Digigear – Ensures precision meshing and superior winding power under load, increasing the lifespan of the internal gearing.
- LC-ABS Spool – Designed with a specialized lip profile to reduce line friction, allowing for significantly longer casts when shore jigging or surfcasting.
- Large T-Shape Knob – Offers a comfortable and secure grip for generating maximum torque during extended battles.
- High-Speed Retrieve – Boasts a 5.7:1 gear ratio, recovering 101cm of line per crank to keep up with fast-moving lures and predators.
