About this reel

The Daiwa 23 Legalis LT3000D-C delivers exceptional value and lightweight performance for New Zealand anglers looking to conquer the shallows. Constructed with a highly durable and corrosion-resistant ZAION V composite body, this reel thrives in harsh saltwater environments. Upgraded with Daiwa's innovative AIRDRIVE Design, it significantly reduces start-up inertia for buttery-smooth rotation when working soft baits for Snapper and Kahawai.

  • AIRDRIVE Design โ€“ Reduces the weight of the rotor and bail arm, lowering start-up inertia for effortless handling and immediate responsiveness.
  • ZAION V Body โ€“ An advanced carbon-resin composite that provides a rigid, sturdy, and highly corrosion-resistant frame without adding excess weight.
  • Tough Digigear โ€“ Digitally designed and machine-cut gearing that ensures ultimate precision, smooth rotation, and reliable strength under heavy loads.
  • ATD Drag System โ€“ Delivers smooth and consistent drag performance from the initial hookup, reducing line breakages during sudden runs.
  • ABS Longcast Spool โ€“ Modified spool shape improves line flow, increasing your casting distance and accuracy when firing into workups.
  • Twist Buster II โ€“ Advanced line management technology that minimises line twist, ideal for casting braided lines in windy conditions.
