The BG-81 Beast Edge CUT BARB is a purpose-built single assist hook for heavy-duty casting and topwater plugging. Featuring a thick shaft, wide gape, and a new CUT BARB design, this hook is ideal for taming aggressive species like kingfish, GTs, and tuna.
The CUT BARB is a unique convex barb that offers solid holding power like a traditional barb, yet allows for easier, safer hook removal – perfect for catch and release fishing or when you’re handling lures in sketchy conditions.
Designed with a slight curve in the hook point for direct, powerful penetration – even into the toughest jaws – and rigged with assist cord length matched precisely to hook size for optimal hook-up rates.
