The Shimano Stradic 2500HG sets a new benchmark for inshore and light tackle fishing, bringing flagship reel technology into a compact, affordable package. Designed for strength and smoothness, it features InfinityXross gearing for long-lasting durability, InfinityDrive for effortless cranking, and the new Anti-Twist Fin to keep line management flawless on every cast.
With the addition of Duracross drag washers, the 2500HG delivers improved drag longevity and smoother performance when fighting fish under pressure. At only 220g, it balances perfectly on light spin rods, making it ideal for softbaiting, light jigs, and estuary fishing around New Zealand.
The high gear ratio (5.8:1) retrieves 86cm per crank, giving you the speed to work lures effectively and react quickly when fish strike. Whether you’re targeting snapper on softbaits, kahawai on small stickbaits, or trout in freshwater, the Stradic 2500HG is built to perform.
